Message from our Chairman
Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
On behalf of the Ipswich Mosque Trustees, I would like to wish you all a joyous and blessed day of Eid.
Eid is a joyous and unique thanksgiving festival which Muslims celebrate all over the world. These days revitalized us with the true spirit of gratitude, steadfastness and patience, which are all culminations of everyday lessons in life. I pray that all our good works and prayers are accepted during this blessed month. And I pray we can keep this renewed spirit throughout the year.
We also pray for the people who have left this world as victims of war, disease, Corona virus, politics and hatred. Our thoughts remain with their families and loved ones. Ramadan is usually a time for prayer and contemplation and this year it has been more so then at any other time in history due to the global lockdown for Covid 19. All the mosques, including the Haram, has been closed to worshippers and there have been no Iftar gathering in the masjid for Ibadah. It has allowed us to spend more time in seclusion and Ibadah at home.
The lockdown has been carrying on throughoutthe holy month and sadly we will not be doing Eidul Fitr prayer at the mosque. We wish you all good health and for your safety urge you to follow government guidelines.
May Allah Almighty shower His choicest blessings upon you and your loved ones, and may He grant you the highest level of happiness and joy on this auspicious day, Let us pray Almighty Allah accepts all our Ibadah and efforts during the holy month and grants us peace, prosperity, progress, and above all, the tawfique to continue to serve humanity with all the means He has granted to us. May Allah SWT be our constant Guide and Protector at all times – Ameen.
Wassalam and Eid Mubarak
